Vintage SFRC Field Day Films
After the business portion of the meeting we will show a vintage SFRC Field Day reel, filmed in 1941, 1942 and 1946 with prewar and postwar field day activities documented at various hilltops around San Francisco and visits to ham shacks of the 40s. This is a silent reel so we can discuss it as we view it. This is a huge treat being a new 4K scan of the original film - a vastly higher quality viewing experience than the grainy Youtube version thanks to Megan and Rick Prelinger and will be shown in-person at the Prelinger Library.
