ARRL Field Day 2019 - June 22 - Fort Mason - Battery only!
The San Francisco Radio Club will be hosting the ARRL Field Day 2019 at Fort Mason this year! We will be changing venue in favor of elevation, access and public visibility!. A map of the location is below. Furthermore we decided to a) make it a single day event and b) a battery only operation!
Setup begins at 8:15am Saturday June 22nd and we'll be on the air by 11am that morning. Continuous operation will conclude around 6-7pm that night. Plans include breakfast and lunch provided by the club.
Field day is all about preparedness, community, fun of operating and promotion of our hobby.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Bring friends, relatives and neighbors. Everyone gets on the air! Be there-it's a fun time!
We will be operating a "Get On The Air", GOTA, station so unlicensed individuals are also welcome to join us and operate our radios!!!
