We're all familiar with VHF bands, especially in our HTs. How far have you made a contact with your HT? I think I've gone a few miles across the suburbs and I regularly make contacts across the Bay from home, but is that it? As with most things in the radio world, there's certainly more! Jeff AA6XA of Team SOTA will tell us about mountaintop VHF contesting and give us a taste of some real distance, and perhaps show us a little of his 10GHz action while we're at it.
