 Marine VHF Monitors Needed for Farallons Race
The Bay Area Multihull Association has asked the SFRC to help with position reporting from their sailboat fleet as they race from San Francisco to the Farallon Islands and back on Saturday, September 19th. If you have a VHF station, are able to receive 156.475 MHz in FM mode (most 2 meter receivers can), and have line of site to any part of the ocean between the Farallons and the Golden Gate Bridge, we’d love your help! The boats are required to check in every 30 minutes with their Latitude and Longitude after Sunset. The hours of commitment are between 7:30pm and Midnight.
