The San Francisco Radio Club has been invited once more to manage the Communications Team for the 2016 San Francisco Marathon. Do you want to be part of the city's biggest event? Are you looking for an opportunity to put your skills to work? Whether returning to duty, brand new to amateur radio or volunteering to an event of this magnitude for the first time, we have positions for all levels of experience and guarantee a fun day!

July's meeting: Introduction to Arduinos workshop

Join us on July 15th for a hands-on workshop introducing Arduinos, breadboards, basic programming concepts, and wireless communication between Arduinos. Use the form below to register to actively participate. Anyone not interested on the hands-on part of the program can of course observe and take the opportunity to socialize we the rest of us. 
There is a $10 fee associated with this registration. This is to cover the cost of the Arduino board which, of course, you get to keep! A laptop computer is required.

July's meeting visitor - El Amine [7X2VB] - Algeria

Although we have a great workshop scheduled for our July meeting, playing with Arduinos, we also have a few visitors and friends of the club coming to socialize with us. Meet El Amine (7X2VB), a radio amateur from  Boukadir, Algeria. Amine is visiting San Francisco and as any other ham abroad is eager to learn more about our club history, mission and meet our members. 

Amine studied engineering of applied telecommunications (radio communications Option) at the National Institute of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Communication of Oran and now works at the national Frequency Agency,  Algries Technical Center.
