Your Own Personal Repeater
Crossband repeaters (or xband repeaters) are an easy, effective temporary repeater system to extend your HT's coverage. Many modern mobile radios have this capability built in, but thrifty hams can even build their own from two spare radios. Sounds great, right? It is! But crossbanding, like everything else, comes with the good, the bad and the ugly. Callum KN6KQR is giving us the rundown of FM crossbanding and some of the pitfalls and extra requirements.
