We had a good turnout out at our temporary meeting location in the social hall at Saint Teresa of Alvila Church

Our Prez gets the meeting underway

 


 Jim Tiemstra, K6JAT ARRL Pacific Division Vice-Director was our guest speaker. He discussed many of our issues in amateur radio that the League is working on.

Back to the V.A. but in at temporary location, room 1A-122 in Building 200, the meeting gets underway



 

John Gates was our presenter. He showed off some of his home brew projects including this small antenna tuner

 

How about a shower head microphone

 

The grand finale was his latest project, a 160 meter vertical antenna as described in QST last year. John describes the construction of the capacity hat mounted at the top of the antenna.

Back at our temporary meeting room, almost 45 in the house

A team effort...Jeanette ran the the board meeting...Bill runs the club meeting

Jan introduced the topic. John Sebastian gave the presentation. It was retro time with a demonstration of packet radio. Now grown up since its start in the early 1980s, it is well refined to be a reliable message tool during emergencies.
