FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

MAY DAY, MAY DAY

Actually, May 1st is known as May Day, and also as a meaningful
anniversary. This year my wife and I celebrate our 31st May Day as a (happily) married couple. It’s great to be back in the Bay Area after a really fun trip to Visalia, CA, for the International DX
Convention. Everyone seemed to have a terrific time. There were great programs, events, and wonderful people to meet. I was able to catch up with a few friends from around the world and had some enjoyable meals to boot! You owe it to yourself to experience
this annual get together at least once. We still have a pretty full operating calendar for the rest of 2013. Participation is on the rise. Way to go SFRC! We have even had to turn down several requests from organizations. There are a few monthly program slots still open
and we could really use a Program chairperson (hint!). Speaking of programs, remember, Dean Straw (N6BV) will join us on June 21st for our Field Day preparation. I saw Dean in Visalia. He promised a new twist to his presentation. Oh, if you are planning on upgrading your license, or know someone who wants to upgrade or take their “Tech”, we have a VE Session on the 9th next month. I’ll see everyone on the 17th!
