The San Francisco Radio Club will participate in the "Amateur Radio Club QSO Party" June 17th-19th 2017. Clubs all over the U.S. are invited to participate in this event created by the South Jersey Radio Assn., the 2nd oldest club in the nation. Report format will include the clubs' age. SJRA & SFRC will be "Bonus" contacts as we will sign with "/101" denoting our 101st year.
This really looks like a fun QSO party and with diminished DX opportunities it gives us another chance to stretch our HF capabilities and warm up for Field Day. Since W6VSF remains in a state of flux, we will rely on several home stations to
represent the club. My QTH will, of course, be offered. I am taking operating time requests now (email@example.com). See the attached documents for details.

Setting Up Your Ham Shack – James DOWNS, KM6ASJ
A presentation on the selection, assembly, and testing of components, for optimal performance.
Yaesu FT-60R: Basic Operation – Nick POWELL, NF1P
A hands-on Yaesu FT-60R HT workshop: discussion of accessories; demonstration of essential operator skills; review of skills maintenance strategies.
Participants must bring copy of valid FCC amateur radio license and their own (i.e. no sharing) fully charged and operational Yaesu FT-60R.

The SFRC board of directors
The San Francisco Radio Club will hold this annual event at our usual location, Ft Miley West (the ocean side of the VA campus) on June 24th and 25th. Setup begins at 7am on the 24th and we'll be on the air by 10am that morning.
Continuous operation will conclude Sunday the 25th. Plans include lunch and dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday morning.
All are welcome and encouraged to participate. Bring friends, relatives and neighbors. Everyone gets on the air! Be there-it's a fun time!
