Even on New Year's Day many of the SFARC
regulars show up for breakfast. Catch them on the radio at 1930 hours PT on
7210khz. The breakfast happens every Wednesday at 0630 but because of the
holiday, this time only, it was 0900.

This was a special get together due to the completed HF mobile installation in KN6GD, Vince's truck. Congratulations Vince...a job well done.

Jim, WA6DDM is on his cell phone in contact with Sedona Jim, KK6SD to coordinate an HF contact from Vince's truck

Dave, WZ6X next to his mobile with Jim still talking to KK6SD via his cell phone

Vince, KN6GD is proud of his installation as he should be. Note the Icom 706 control panel unit mounted above the windshield.

A lot of work went into the installation of the most critical element of Vince's mobile station, his High Sierra HF antenna installation. Great job!!

Even though there was no success in contacting Sedona Jim KK6SD on HF that morning. The factors were a combination of poor propagation and power lines above attenuating any signal that could be received or sent. There your are..Vince's truck with the HF antenna mounted on his rack rail.
